ON THE RIGHT TRACK?

choo choo I thought I would share a genie bag that I did for our kid's holiday programme these holidays.  I tell you - teachers are such special people, I don't know how they do that all day every day, the need to be paid about 10 times what they are!!  I was just about ready to lose it after just 2 days of it ...

Anyway, I used the Right on Track wheel and Choo Choo set from the new mini (coming your way real soon!), and I think that the kids really loved it.  I wasn't sure which sets to use for kids projects (since we'd already used Bugs & Kisses and all the obvious ones), thank goodness that as a demo I can pre-order and that the order got here in time to save my bacon!!

... MY MOTHER IS SO MEAN SHE WON'T BUY ME A BED - SHE MAKES ME SLEEP IN A STAMPIN' UP! BOX! ...

Once again, Tiger finds something too small for his big fluffy butt and climbs into it!  This is the smallest sized box that Stampin' Up! uses, so it's not that big, but he's been sleeping there for about 3 hours now.  It doesn't look very comfortable, but I guess it can't be all that bad if he's been there that long!

A PICTURE TELLS A THOUSAND WORDS ...

IMG_1155Hey guys, you would be forgiven for thinking that I had disappeared into thin air, but with having to create 2 of the first 3 projects for WE Stamp and everything I have been doing has been for "the other" blog ... that and school holidays has just killed all the time that I normally have to do all these thing I want to do!

Anyway, we have this new store in town called The Outlet Store and I wandered in the other day and found these cute little frames for just $2.50 - which I didn't think was a bad deal ...

photo frame 2 Of course I figured it could look cuter if I distressed the edges a little, added a few embellishments, and who can resist the super cute corduroy buttons that are coming your way on August 1st??  So I stamped Baroque Motifs with the Staz-on white, added some flower fusion with rhinestone brad centres, and of course because all our embellishments match our wonderful colours, I finished off with the corduroy buttons that matched the flower fusion perfectly!

Just in case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, the "before" frame is pink and the "after" one is red - it's not you!

Now I just have to find a place to put this cute frame of my "baby" who is now 11 1/2 and probably won't want it displayed where the whole world can see it ...

Happy stampin'!

MY LITTLE HELPER ...

Tiger (who believes he's the most important member of our family) is a very "helpful" stamper side-kick!  But sometimes he seems to think that he's still the size of a little kitten and insists on getting into or onto things that are far too small for his now rather larger and fluffier self!  In fact we were sitting in Stamp Club on Monday night and he jumped onto the table and climbed into the basket - the one that is only 26cm x 18cm!!  The girls had a good laugh at that, but he got in big trouble ...

Anyway, I have a box on my craft room floor for all the cardstock and DP scraps to go into that's supposedly going to the Kindy someday.  Well Tiger decided that there was too much cardstock in it for him to fit as well, so he knocked a bit out and then sat down to make himself at home!

WE STAMP COLOUR CHALLENGE # 1

IMG_1007 I had Stamp Club last night and one of my fabulously talented customers, Debbie, bought along these amazing dolls that she had made at a local fabric store (owned by another club member!).  Anyway I really loved the dolls, but was really amazed at the colours in some of the fabrics - bold and really out there, but they worked together.

So out of these lovely ladies I have a fun colour challenge over at the WE Stamp blog!  Certainly not my normal colours, so it will be a challenge for me as well, but what about these colours to get your creative brains working:

I'm off to create my own card with this challenge, which I will upload to the WE Stamp blog later tonight so check it out here: WE Stamp Blog.

FAUX SCORCHING?

inspired by nature 3I have been so busy this week with lots of classes and all the WE Stamp behind the scenes stuff, that I haven't had a lot of time to stamp just for me, so I am going to share with you a card that I did last night.  I really like the distressed look of it and if you know me then you know that I love to tear ...

There are just a couple of things in this card that you won't have seen before because I got my parcel of pre-order goodies from Stampin' Up! yesterday.  That's one of the great things about being a demonstrator - we get to "try out" lots of new stuff before it's available to the public!!  So keep an eye here for more sneak peaks about what you can see coming in the new mini that starts August 1st.

I will be doing a free open house so you can try things out for yourself, so watch for details coming your way as soon as today is over ...
